Most investors are smart, well-informed and highly computerized. We find an edge they don’t have. We think of something they haven’t thought of. We see things they miss or bring insight they don’t possess. We react differently and behave differently. 

 

We are willing to challenge conventional wisdom and happy to go against the crowd. We think tangentially about the world and are prepared to question what others take for granted and spot investments that are out of favour today but may excite investors at some stage in the future.

 

We look for situations where there is little downside risks if things continue as they are and a lot of money to be made if a few things go right. In other words, a highly favourable risk/reward balance.
